Electric & Electronic Appliances

We perform R&D, testing and evaluation of the performance, safety, reliability and durability of secondary batteries, lighting products, well-being electric home-appliances, ITE and audio and video equipment.

Secondary battery

  • Scope of products
    - From small-sized secondary batteries used in laptops,cell phones and electric bicycles to large sized secondary batteries used in electric vehicles and energy storage systems
    - Cell, module, pack, etc.
    - LIB, RFB, lead acid battery, alkali storage battery, etc.
  • Testing and certification service (Korea and overseas)
    - Testing for safety confirmation of electrical appliances (KC)
    - Testing for overseas certification such as UL, TÜV SÜD and, TÜV Rheinland
    - Testing for UN/DOT 38.3, ECE R 100
    - Testing for KBIA certification of energy storage system
    - Development testing in accordance with the automobile manufacture standards in Korea and abroad such as Hyundai-Kia, GM, Daimler, FUSO, SAIC, BAIC and so ofrth
  • Test service (performance / reliability & safety)
    - Testing of volume, output, energy density, storage, life cycle and energy efficiency
    - Testing against vibration, shock, compression, high temperature, temperature cycle, external impact, thermal cycling, external short circuit, overcharge, forced discharge, burning, Sled Test, waterproof and dust (e.g. IP Rating, testing on auto parts)
  • Testing service (performance, reliability and safety)
    - Capacity, output, energy density, storage, cycle life, energy efficiency test
    - Vibration, shock, pressure, durability against high temperature, temperature cycle, external short circuit, overcharge, forced discharge, fire resistance, sled test, water and dust resistance test (IP level, rain and spray test for automobile parts , etc.).

Lighting

  • Scope of Lighting
    - From parts and materials such as LED PKG to finished LED products
    - Traditional light source (filament lamp, fluorescent lamp, metal halide lamp, mercury lamp, sodium lamp)
    - New light source (electrodeless lamp, LED, OLED, etc.)
  • Testing and certification service
    - Testing and evaluation of the performance, energy efficiency, reliability and safety of all types of lighting porducts
    - Testing for safety confirmation of electrical appliances (KC)
    - High efficiency appliance certification and Energy Efficiency Labeling test for the Korea Energy Agency (KEMCO)
    - Testing for the Public Procurement Service’s multiple award schedule(MAS) registration (luminaire, lamp, traffic sign, etc.)
    - UL certification test
    - CE Marking

Well-being electric home-appliances

  • Scope of equipment
    - Air cleaner, humidifier, dehumidifier, air filter, ventilator, electric dust collector, etc.
  • Testing and certification service
    - Testing for energy efficiency label and standard program of Korea Energy Agency (KEMCO)
    - Testing for Korea Air Cleaning Association’s group quality certification
    - Testing for the performance of air filters, photo-catalysts

Information technology equipment / audio and video equipment

  • Scope of equipment
    - Information, communication, office equipment such as monitors, printers
    - Audio and video equipment such as video monitors, audio & video learning devices
  • Testing and certification service
    - Testing and evaluation of safety, reliability and durability (water and dust resistance test, etc.)
    - Standby electricity test by the Korea Energy Agency (13products including computers, monitors, etc.)
